USDT stuck in Trust Wallet? Send it without TRX, BNB or ETH

Trust Wallet shows your USDT, but sending fails or the button stays grey. Almost always the network fee is missing: TRX for USDT on Tron, BNB on BNB Chain, ETH on Ethereum or Arbitrum, POL on Polygon.

What the wallet says

Depending on the wallet and its version, messages like these (Trust Wallet on Tron, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and more):

Not enough TRX to cover the network fee
Insufficient BNB balance
Insufficient ETH balance
Not enough POL for network fee
Insufficient balance for network fee

Why it happens

Trust Wallet shows USDT on many networks: TRC20 on Tron, BEP20 on BNB Chain, ERC20 on Ethereum, and more. Each network charges its fee in its own coin, and that coin must be on the same network. BNB on BNB Chain does not pay for USDT on Tron. The small network label next to the USDT in Trust Wallet tells you which one you hold.

How to fix it

Find the network: tap the USDT in Trust Wallet and read the label, TRC20, BEP20, ERC20 or Polygon. The free wallet check at gasrescue.io/check shows the same for any address.
Get a little of that network's coin into the same wallet, if you can. That is usually the cheapest way.
